1. Definitions

Client / You – The person or company contracting Delta Couriers Limited.
Company / We / Us – Delta Couriers Limited.
Consignment – The goods or items to be collected and delivered.
Service – Same Day or Advanced Booking courier services.
Driver – Approved subcontracted courier engaged by the Company.

2. Service Scope

Delta Couriers Limited provides:

Same Day Courier Services
Advanced / Scheduled Bookings
Dedicated vehicle transport services
Services are provided throughout the United Kingdom.
All collections and deliveries are subject to operational availability, traffic conditions, weather, and circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Collection times (including estimated dispatch within 30–60 minutes) are estimates only and not guaranteed.

3. Booking & Contract Formation

Bookings may be made via:

Website
Telephone
Email
A booking becomes binding once confirmed by Delta Couriers Limited.
Full payment is required at time of booking unless agreed otherwise in writing.

4. Subcontracted Drivers

Delta Couriers Limited engages approved subcontracted drivers to carry out deliveries.
All subcontracted drivers are required to maintain:

Valid motor insurance
Public liability insurance
Goods in Transit insurance of not less than £10,000
Drivers receive only the information necessary to complete the delivery.

5. Consignment Requirements & Restrictions

The Client warrants that:

Goods are properly packaged for safe transportation
Accurate weight, size and content details have been declared
Collection and delivery access is suitable for the booked vehicle
We do not transport:
Illegal goods
Hazardous materials (unless agreed in writing)
Cash or negotiable instruments
Jewellery or precious items unless agreed
Perishable goods without prior written agreement
We reserve the right to inspect, refuse, or cancel any consignment at our discretion.

6. Waiting Time

Free Waiting Time:

– Small Vans to Luton Vans: 30 minutes free
– 7.5 Tonne Rigid to Artic Vehicles: 1 hour free


Charges After Free Allowance:

– Small Vans to Luton Vans: £25 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments
– 7.5 Tonne Rigid to Artic Vehicles: £40 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments


Delays exceeding 1 hour beyond the free allowance for vans or 2 hours for larger vehicles may result in cancellation and full charge.

7. Loading & Handballing Charges

Kerbside collection and delivery are included unless otherwise agreed.
Handballing charges apply where manual handling is required beyond kerbside:

Light handballing (up to 10 minutes): £15
Moderate handballing (10–20 minutes): £30
Heavy or extended handballing: £40

Additional labour will be charged separately.
The Client is responsible for ensuring safe loading conditions.

8. Liability & Insurance

All consignments are covered under Goods in Transit insurance up to a maximum of £10,000 per consignment.
Delta Couriers Limited’s liability shall not exceed:
The declared value of the goods; or
£10,000 (whichever is lower)
We are not liable for:
Indirect or consequential loss
Loss of profit
Delays caused by traffic, weather, breakdown, or force majeure
Damage caused by inadequate packaging
Incorrect information provided by the Client
Claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

Same Day Services
Cancellation before driver dispatch: Full refund
Cancellation after dispatch: Full charge applies
Cancellation after collection: Non-refundable
Advanced Bookings
Cancellation 24+ hours before collection: Full refund
Cancellation within 24 hours for advanced bookings: 50% charge fee applies
Refunds are processed to the original payment method.

10. Payment Terms

Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Delta Couriers Limited does not store full card details.
All charges are due at time of booking unless credit terms are agreed.
Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
Delta Couriers – T&C’s.

11. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Severe weather
Road closures
Accidents
Mechanical breakdown
Government restrictions

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
